Special Event: FINND Fireside-chat with U.S. National Hero/Legend Ambassador Hugh Montgomery
The FINND is humbled and pleased to present a fireside chat with one of America’s remaining heroes from The Greatest Generation to reflect on national security challenges, past/present/future. Ambassador Montgomery’s life story reads like something out of a Hollywood film: WWII combat wounded vet (parachuted into Normandy on D-Day), recruited into the OSS/CIA for a 69 year career ending in 2014, a translator at the Nuremberg Trials, a CIA Station Chief serving 24 years abroad, an Ambassador to the United Nations, speaking 9 languages. At 93, Hugh is still spry and willing to share his insights, discussing his career and perspective on how national security has changed with technology and time, and offering his golden nuggets of wisdom for the next generation. Topics discussed will include the current dangers of foreign intelligence services, the changed nature of espionage, the difference it makes on who is in the White House.
